10 Cool Things You Can Do with VidaOne Apps
Our apps come with many, many features, and here are a few practical and useful
things you can do with them.
-
It’s one thing to find the time to exercise, it’s another to find the
motivation to keep going. There’s no better way to re-energize yourself than
reviewing your past workouts, your hard work, your tenacity and your progress. Enter
as much information as you can when working out and use MySportTraining and VidaOne Diet & Fitness
calendar, reports, charts, list of your best workouts, etc., to give you an immediate snapshot of your past efforts. If you were able to do it
then, why not now?
- VidaOne apps allow you to track a lot of information, but you can also create
your own custom fields! Use VidaOne Diet & Fitness to track any value that matters
to you. You can then synchronize these custom fields and use them with
MySportTraining and MyPersonalDiet.
- Organize your workouts by creating new activities, such as Upper Body, Lower
Body, Spinning, and entering the proper exercises/intervals in each of them. When
you hit the gym, simply recall those activities and you will immediately see exactly
all of what you
did the last time. You can then try to add a few more reps or a little more weight
to build up toward your goal.
-
Get a heart rate monitor to see how your body works when working out. Average and
maximum heart rates give you a good indication of the actual work on your body (the
perceived exertion is often misleading), and the ability to review your heart rate
during the workout enables you to fine-tune your training. You can download Polar
and Garmin heart rate monitor data into VidaOne Diet & Fitness to analyze your
workouts in great details.
- Track intervals with your cardio workouts. In as much as strength training
consists of performing a variety of hard exercises with short rest periods,
effective cardio training can be achieved by doing some very intense cardio
exercises (which are called intervals) with brief periods of rest in between. You can track them all in
MySportTraining and VidaOne Diet & Fitness.
-
If you are using a Garmin monitor, download your workouts into VidaOne Diet & Fitness to see
the route in Google Maps and look at your heart rate during your workout. You can
also sync with your iPhone to show the route to your friends later on.
- If you start to have pain when running, or experience shifting issues on
your bike, you might have to change your gears. Use VidaOne Diet & Fitness and
MySportTraining to create workout gears, such as running shoes, or bike chain. Then
select them in your workouts , and their usage (distance or duration)
are automatically calculated. You can immediately find out if they are due
for replacement before problems happen.
-
Use MySportTraining or MyPersonalDiet on your iPhone, Windows Mobile or Palm OS
device to track meals, workouts and health data on-the-go, and synchronize all of it
with VidaOne Diet & Fitness on your PC to review and analyze them in order to
achieve your goals.
- Use MySportTraining or MyPersonalDiet for iPhone to record an outdoor workout
route, using the iPhone location-based capabilities. You can see the duration,
distance, speed, even the route as you go.
- If your doctor orders some blood work, even once in a rare while, make sure to
track it in VidaOne Diet & Fitness and especially MyPersonalDiet. This enables you
to build your health history over time that you can carry with you. Reviewing labs
results along your health history gives your doctor the best information to make the
right decisions for your health future.
